*About StoresOnline Dot Com !! | | | | Replies | | | | Author: | | SurprisedReader (---.ipt.aol.com) | | | Date: | | 29.10.07 | | Dear Posters Complaining & New To Sol:
I am not surprised in my findings on this company.. I attended the Conferance & wanted to research SOL out first before handing over any money.
My find is just what I thought..
I feel SOL asks way too much money for their program for one.
One can set up a store front without using SOL.
One can read on how to work with serch engines etc... on the internet.
"My husband asked me this.. now if you are trying to be one of the top non-paying listers in Googles, Yahoo, MSN ect.. how many others are trying too.. so in sense.. how can one stay on the top with search engines updating their directory each and every day?
That above is just one topics that was talked about at the conferance.. staying on the top of the non-published list!
That SOL can help you achieve being on the top of the non-paying directory list!
I for one.. will go to the workshop that I payed 20.00 to attend.. I for one will get the info I need but I will not buy the program package!
Why should I.. when I can get all of the information on the internet to start my own eCommerce store front. I may be slower on getting it up and running and to keep it up in the search engines.. BUT.. I know I did it myself without spending a lot of money!!!
I would suggest one should take a marketing coarse to learn about.. customer relations.. marketing your idea.. competition.. advertising for free.. etc. etc.
Then find coarses online about search engines, spiders, crawlers etc.
Find online free stores and also BIG STORES affiliations to get started to get yourself out there.
Wead through what affiliations pay you the most %
Set up your own customer relations with a free php board.
Purchase your domain
Find a good rep company you can count on to host your web site.. taking in mind.. their down time.. look around.. they are out there!
..........................................................
Learn whatever you can because with SOL.. they may provide the program but you have to do the work.. work meaning.. there are things you have to learn anyway and it is all on the internet.. so why pay SOL that much money when you can do it yourself !
Good Luck in your own research and for the ones who are bashing the ones who have complaints.. they are honest complaints like any other consomers who buy something and are not satisfied with it.. so you have done well with SOL you say.. you got scammed too because you did not have to spend 2500-2700.00 etc. when you could have done it yourself ! You are out that much money and even if you made it back through sales.. you still had to work for it and could have been up 2500-2700.00 in your pocket book !
Now.. here is what I found on this board and I must say.. if I would have thought up the idea as they have and started scamming people a program as this..
I could not sleep at night !!

Since you seem to be so eager to speak in defense of SOL, and since SOL has been unable (or unwilling) to address these complaints directly, feel free to comment on but a few of the issues I and others are grappling with:
1. Limitations and major bugs with 5.0 store builder
2. Major SOL payment processing problems (ECI)
3. Repeated server problems, ongoing lengthy down times
4. Licensing and publishing fees issues and other policy issues; conflicting information and lack of information, policy changes
5. Customer support problems; representatives often disinterested and unknowledgeable
6. Misrepresentation (workshop, mentoring program and other issues)
And while you're at it, please respond to the following:
UT Dept of Commerce Cease and Desist order of June 2, 2006 for misleading consumers by selling business opportunities without being properly registered and without making the require disclosures; SOL could face third degree felony charges.
In a case that is currently pending, The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) has instituted legal proceedings against SOL et al, alleging they have been engaging in misleading and deceptive conduct and other contraventions of the Trade Practices Act 1974 over the sale and promotion of home business e-commerce software packages. On June 1, 2005, the ACCC obtained an injunction preventing SOL et al from transferring funds outside the jurisdiction of the Australian Courts, pending further hearings. Additionally, the ACCC obtained an order that SOL must inform participants of the proceedings restraining them from making misleading or deceptive representations, prior to the commencement of all remaining seminars or workshops.
November of 2005 the Texas Attorney General announced a Final Judgment and Agreed Permanent Injunction with SOL under its various names, whereby SOL agreed to allocate $400,000 towards a consumer refund account managed by the Texas Attorney General to reimburse consumers for cash paid and for financed debt incurred to enroll in the program because of inoperable software.
January of 2004, the Washington Department of Financial Institutions, Securities Division, alleged that SOL violated the Business Opportunity Fraud Act's registration and anti-fraud provisions which included failure to register and failure to provide the required contract language and disclosures. SOL agreed to cease and desist from violations of the registration and anti-fraud provisions of the Business Opportunity Fraud Act. SOL waived their rights to a hearing and judicial review of this matter.
April of 2004 the State of California, through a Stipulated Final Judgment and Permanent Injunction in Superior Court of the State of California, County of San Mateo, obtained a judgment which resulted in $102,333.19 in refunds to 42 purchasers plus other conditions.
And, the BBB of UT report it has received 382 complaints in 36 months on SOL concerning information provided at workshops, the company's refund policy, its customer service, and optional coaching services which are provided by Professional Marketing International (PMI), a separate company. These are only the compliants the BBB of UTAH has received -- how many more are registered in other states?! |

In 1 1/2 year we haven’t recovered even fraction of the money SOL and EMS took from us!!!!!!! One month after purchase and not getting anywhere we asked for refund, buy back all 3 websites!!! We are seniors, they lied telling how easy one can make money. There is not such a thing easy use and make money! They continue the same marketing techniques in Canada with the same pitch, and getting more suckers like us into their fraudulent scheme. |
