Before You Attend FREE Seminar, Know About Galaxy Mall aka Storesonline.com!
Date: June 24, 2004

It Pays to CHECK FIRST with TheLocalBBB!

Spokane, WA. - June 24 2004 - The Better Business Bureau Serving Eastern Washington, North Idaho & Montana would like to draw Tri-City area and Walla Walla area residents' attention to the fact that a company called Storesonline.com aka Galaxy Mall headquartered at 754 Technology Avenue, Orem, UT, 84097 (801) 434-8582, web site: www.storesonline.com is coming to the following locations next week:

Tuesday, June 29th at the Marcus Whitman Hotel in Walla Walla, WA. AND Wednesday, June 30th at the Red Lion Kennewick, WA.

As per the report on this company from the BBB of UTAH, (full report at: www.utah.bbb.org) this company markets "e-services" to business owners and those who intend to do business on the Internet. The primary method of marketing is a free 90 minute preview presentation, followed by a one-day workshop which requires a registration fee. Internet training workshop attendees are provided a written workshop guarantee and agreement which outlines the terms and conditions for attending the workshop.

Participants should carefully read these terms. At the end of the workshop, attendees are offered a "special offer" to buy the services and products offered. The offer contains a 3-day right to cancel.

Based on BBB UTAH's files, this company has received complaints concerning information provided at workshops, the company's refund policy, its customer service, and optional coaching services which are provided by Professional Marketing International (PMI), a separate company.

Complaints processed by the Bureau in its three year reporting period have been resolved.

The company states they are anxious to resolve customer complaints through the e- mail help@myquickresponse.com, or www.myquickresponse.com or by phone at 801-227- 0004. It is BBB policy to encourage consumers to attempt to resolve complaints with a company prior to contacting the Better Business Bureau.

BBB SOUTHLAND REPORT SIMILAR, YET UNSATISFACTORY.
Based on the BBB Southland file on this company, which also has a CA. address of 2333 East Pacific Coast Highway #D, Corona del Mar, CA, 92625 (full report at: www.bbbsouthland.org) the California location has an unsatisfactory record with BBB Southland due to a pattern of complaints concerning misunderstandings about information provided at the workshop, the company's no refund policy, its customer service, and the optional coaching services provided by Professional Marketing International (PMI). The company has resolved most complaints, although one remains unresolved. The BBB Southland strongly encourages potential clients to follow the prescribes of the BBB Utah's report and work through the company first in order to resolve any complaints beofre filing a complaint with the BBB.

StoresOnLine has sold services and e-commerce sites on a non-refundable basis because they defined their product as a "business-to-business" service. However, many states have re-defined the area of law that distinguishes consumer transactions, from business to business transactions.

In December 2003 StoresOnline altered their refund policy to add a 3-day right to rescind for all new customers. The change in policy was at least in part a pre-emptive response to legal actions initiated by the State of California.

On April 7, 2004 Imergent, Inc., doing business in California as StoresOnline Inc., entered into an agreement to answer concerns raised by the State of California through a Stipulated Final Judgment and Permanent Injunction in Superior Court of the State of California, County of San Mateo.

The primary terms of the agreement require that Storesonline: a) offer a 3-day right to rescind in a manner prescribed by California law and the agreement, b) pay $102,333.19 in refunds to 42 purchasers of Storesonline products as identified by the State of California, c) provide customers a list of all additional and optional services that can be provided at the option of consumers prior to the execution of a contract, and d) that Storesonline continue to disclose that knowledge of and access to a computer is required to utilize its products and services.

WE DON'T TELL ANYONE NOT TO ATTEND! We just want to make the public aware of the policies of this company prior to engagement.
