Growth financing through Swiss venture capitalist - competitive position continuously strengthened - well-known companies becomes customers

Within the scope of the financing round of 2,5 million Euro, Swiss venture capitalist VI Partners holding company (http://www.vipartners.ch/) has become the new lead-investor and thus secured the continued growth of the hybris group. Amongst the investors of the Swiss VC are companies like the blue-chip manufacturer ABB, Hilti, Sulzer, Schindler, Credit Suisse Group, Pictet, Nestle, Novartis, Suva and the Zürcher Kantonalbank. The hybris group will use the capital to expand its distribution channels in Germany, Austria and Switzerland as well as for the continued development of the trend-setting software solutions of the company, which has solidly established itself with E-Business software for catalog management, catalog production and multi-level distribution.

The decisive factors for the engagement of the Swiss venture specialists with a pool of over 100 million Swiss francs was the superb position of the hybris group as a leading provider of high-quality E-Business software for companies from the upper mid-market segment. The hybris software solutions have a clear "return-on-invest" and function in E-Business environments as an information linchpin between customers, partners, suppliers and employees. Amongst hybris customers are such esteemed companies as Bechtle, PUMA, Bitburger, Interbrew, Edeka, Talkline, Warsteiner and Webasto.

In line with the financing round, investment partners Daniel Gutenbern and Holger Heims of VI Partner AG both get a seat in the hybris administrative board of the hybris holding. Another new member of the board will be Kurt Dobitsch, former CEO of Compaq Germany. Günther Lamperstorfer, who is invested in hybris since 2001, remains head of the administrative board. Prior to his engagement with hybris, Lamperstorfer was one of the founders of the CompuNet group, one of the largest IT-vendors in Germany, which was bought by General Electric. Furthermore, Michael Zips of VCI Technoinvest, partial owner of hybris since 2002, is also member of the administrative board.
